Codemill sells and develops video apps to the World's leading media companies. In the past years we have had a great journey at Codemill and we have expanded our knowledge, skills and number of employees. For 2021 and onwards we will expand even more and we have a lot of exciting opportunities ahead of us. This is why we are now looking for talented and motivated engineers of all experience levels to join our great staff!

At Codemill we build cloud based video applications that are used within the media workflow. Our tools help our customers to manage quality control, marketing, editing and automatic adjustments and AI services. Our core product is Accurate Video (accurate.video), that is used within the media and broadcasting business for video production. We sell Accurate Video to Global Top 100 media companies and some customers are Sony Pictures, Viacom, The Guardian and other big Hollywood companies that we are not allowed to name drop :)

Working as a Developer

As a developer at Codemill you will work either with building and improving our own product Accurate Video or work in exciting (inhouse) projects to help our customers succeed in an innovative way. At Codemill we work in agile teams with focus on usability and sustainable, well-coded solutions. In your everyday work you will of course have a focus on coding, but you also have the opportunity to work with matters that are related to testing, User Experience, system integration, continuous integration etc. You will have close communication with your teammates and in these pandemic times we are using digital technologies to maintain our good collaboration.

Your qualifications

Since we plan to expand a lot during 2021, we are looking for both newly graduated developers and more experienced developers. The most important thing is that you find the video- and media business interesting and want to build great things together with us.

It’s preferable if you have an academic background within for example Computer Science, Interaction Design or Technical Engineering. As a person you should be curious to learn new things, like collaborating with others and be willing to share your knowledge.

About the position

This position is full-time and on-site for our office in Umeå, Sweden. We have flexible working hours and the ability to work from home when needed.
