SPP is part of the Storebrand Group and is a leading player in the Nordic market for pension, life and health insurance, banking and asset management. The group has offices in Norway, Sweden and Lithuania, with head office in Oslo.
The BI department is responsible for integrating information from all of Storebrands & SPPs source systems into a common & consistent platform for analytics and reporting. It is also responsible for some applications and packages like the marketing system. The department is responsible for many business critical solutions with a high demand for correctness and availability. The demand for BI solutions in the enterprise is growing rapidly and we need to constantly prioritize tasks and ensure that we utilize scares resources in an optimal way.
Leader of the BI team SPP
As the leader of the BI team you will have the day to day responsibility for the BI team in tight corporation with the Nordic manager of BI.
You will be responsible for the overall plan for the BI department and work closely with the Nordic manager, key persons from business, PMO and other departments to ensure that the area has good plans that utilize the BI resources in a good way. Furthermore ensure that we have a healthy mix of project, small tasks and maintenance ensuring good quality of the existing BI solutions and good quality deliveries of new solutions. You will also work with continuous improvement of the department?s processes and routines within development & maintenance and ensure that we have predictable deliveries and open communication with the business and other interested parties
The team lead will typically:
Scrum master for the team
Act as a personnel manager responsible for the day-to-day operation of the team
Know the HR processes well and ensure that all employees are treated equally.
Answer all personnel questions about social and personal rights
Give advice to solution manager in recruitment processes
Give advice to solution manager in strategic workforce planning
Chair retrospectives and challenges the team to improve. Identify, initiate and follow up actions.
Together with the Nordic manager implement individual action plans with each employee in the team, based on the overall goals for the solution area. Regular evaluation of job performance and productivity (Catalyst One)
Work with the PMO and the Nordic manager to make quarterly plans.
Ensure that team plans are coordinated and in line with the overall plan for the department
Lead the process of continuous improvement of processes and routines
Communicate status to the business and set realistic expectations of deliveries
Participate in the Change Control Board

Experience from using Jira
Understand the business and be able to drive a requirement process
Experience from leading BI teams
Skills in facilitating worksops
Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical roles and the business side in Storebrand
Experience as a project manager for agile projects
Good people skills
Continuous improvement of development processes & routines
Work with prioritizing processes
In addition the person must be open and honest and not afraid to address / escalate problems and ask for help or advice.
