These are complex systems with very high quality requirements, and Nasdaq is now looking to add highly skilled Application Engineers to the team. Reporting to the System Operations Director, you will belong to an international team that designs, plans, builds, tests and implements new technical solutions. Your main responsibility will be to ensure 100% uptime on the trading and clearing system as well as making sure that Nasdaq always delivers within the SLA agreements. You will take the lead role in Major Incidents at exchanges that need immediate attention. In order to solve upcoming issues, you will collaborate closely with other internal teams (e.g. development, project management, system management teams) on a global scale. The team provides support 24 hours 7 days a week, and as part of the second line support you will be on call for any unresolved issues on a rotating schedule. Furthermore, you will be involved in internal projects, configuring, installing, maintaining and upgrading the trading and clearing application as well as plan and execute failover- and performance testing. We are looking to get in touch with candidates that have a broad experience of application management of large complex platforms. We expect you to have around 3-5 years of experience, preferably from working with financial systems. You are expected to have knowledge in technologies ranging from infrastructure to functionality, including SQL database, Scripting languages and General Operating Systems knowledge. If you also have previous experience working as a tester of large high availability real-time installations that required failover and performance testing, this would be a plus. Furthermore, we are expecting you to be customer centered, with an agile and analytical mindset; as well as a strong drive to achieve results, ensure high quality and solve complex problems.
