Senior Test Engineer

The Opportunity

Sandvine is looking for creative and talented QA engineers to help us validate the next generation management software for our products running on Public & Private Clouds, Virtual, COTS, and Appliances. As a Test Engineer, you will be ensuring Sandvine is developing high-quality features from the beginning of our software requirements to software release. Understanding and challenging how the software will function in a customer environment will be a top priority by creating test strategies and automation to expose any software weaknesses. As a QA engineer, you will work very close to the developers and will be involved in both whitebox and backbox testing apart from being the code guardian for the team.

The position is located in our Malmö office, which is a stone throw from the Malmö central station in Sweden.

The Job

• Analyze software requirements and create test plans, you wont test them all, but lead and drive so that the validation is done by the team
• Drive failure modes and make sure to test them
• Devise test strategies for early defect detection & coordinate actions towards cutting down on customer escapes
• A good part of the workday will be filled with automating test cases to ensure no regressions in product functionality are released
• Manually test complex multi-system deployments with a deep understanding of the software design and architecture

What skills you bring:

• MSc (or equivalent degree) degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• “Break the code” mindset.
• 3+ years’ experience programming in Python, you will use that in automating test cases.
• 3+ years’ experience in automating test cases
• Solid work experience with Database technologies is be a huge advantage.
• Proficiency in git and good knowledge of Linux system configuration.
• Experience in validating software products that run on public and private cloud platforms
• Experience in Kubernetes, AWS, Azure and/or GCP is a plus
