Axis is now looking for an ASIC Design Engineer to join our Chip Platform IP team within the Research & Development department.  

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will work with the next imaging subsystem in the Axis SOCs. The work includes close cooperation with both ASIC Verification Engineers. Algorithm Development Teams and SW Engineers.

Typical tasks as an ASIC Design Engineer in Axis will be:

* Requirement break-down including microarchitecture definition
* High-level modelling
* RTL implementation
* Perform front end implementation tasks such as synthesis and logic equivalence check

In addition to above there will also be opportunities to take a broader responsibility within multimedia technology areas.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for highly motivated designers which are willing to take a full responsibility of the design trough the ASIC life-cycle.

You have a master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or similar, good programming skills and a big interest in technology and ASIC design.

Meritable skills include:

* Proven relevant experience within ASIC design
* SystemVerilog
* SystemC
* Verilog/VHDL
* Scripting languages such as Python/Perl
* ASIC Verification
* VMM/OVM/UVM
* TLM

We will consider both recently graduated and experienced candidates.

CHIP IP DEVELOPMENT TEAM
As part of Axis’ Chip Platforms organization the IP development team is responsible for system design and hardware implementation of algorithms and other technology components provided by technology development organization. For some technology we use 3rd party IPs. The team is also responsible for ASIC design and verification methodology and modeling techniques.
We are at the leading edge of using SystemVerilog, VMM/UVM, HLS, TLM, and has a long history in ASIC and SOC development.
