Our cloud based solution, Axis Video Hosting System, is a Linux based video surveillance system that offers our customers video surveillance as a hosted service. The system has a LAMP based back-end with a JavaScript front-end. The products has tens of thousands concurrent users with high demands on software security, robustness and stability.

We are now looking to recruit an additional member to our hosting and development team. The team is primarily responsible for hosting and deployment of our services in the cloud (Amazon) but on a daily basis they take part in the development of new features in our solution. In the role you will also interact with our customers and discuss how to best integrate our cloud based video solution towards their surveillance and business analytics systems. Being available for call-in support on a rotating schedule when something happens with our cloud services is also a part of this role.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that you are a driven individual with several years’ of experience from web development and hosting professional Linux based systems. You understand the importance of IT operational excellence in combination with agile development with emphasizes on communication, collaboration, integration, automation and cooperation between software developers and IT professionals.

As this is a key role, where you will be the expert within your competence area, we believe that you are comfortable taking responsibility, questioning status quo and driving and developing AVHS to align with growing scalability demands. As a person you are structured and you enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues.

Development-wise you love web development and advanced trouble shooting, sometimes together with our customers that has a global presence.

Good skills in English, both written and verbally, are required as we interact with our customers every day in all part of the world.

OUR NEW BUSINESS TEAM
The New Business team is a unique group within Axis. The group is responsible for both evaluating new business ideas from a technical and a commercial perspective, and product development to offer customers the best products on the market. The team has market oriented business development resources as well as product development resources.

The video hosting group p is responsible for the Axis Video Hosting Solution (AVHS) product within the New Business team. The AVHS product is supporting the majority of all existing and new products that Axis is developing and is in the forefront of video security surveillance systems and continuously adds new innovative features and technology.
