Vogue Scandinavia is looking for a talented Beauty Editor for our Stockholm team, who is truly passionate about the beauty industry. Supervise the process of creating, developing, and writing beauty articles for the magazine and website. A successful candidate will be up to date on all the latest beauty trends as well as have a good understanding of the technical science of the beauty industry and be able to bring their creative ideas to life.

Responsibilities

• Write the beauty articles for both print and digital for Vogue Scandinavia
• Keep up with the latest developments in the beauty industry
• Consistently create interesting, high-quality written content
• Test and review products which are being featured in the magazine and online.
• Oversee the beauty cupboard and liaise with brands
• Decide what stories and trends are of interest for both print and digital

Skills & Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of the beauty industry
• Strong organizational skills, a self-directed work style, and excellent communication skills
• Strong editing skills with an excellent portfolio of published work
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the beauty industry
• Strong contacts within the industry on an international level
• Excellent written English skills
• Ability to write flawless copy on deadline in a fast-paced environment
• Experience of working or studying overseas
• Participate in video content
• Coordinate beauty shoots and editorials, both in print and online

Ideal Candidates

• Fluency in the English language, both verbal and written
• Hands-on experience with MS Office, InDesign, Photoshop, or other publishing tools
• Passionate about the latest beauty trends and be able to bring their creative ideas to life.
• Background in the technical side of beauty
• Experience in beauty, fashion or newspaper journalism
• A minimum of 2 years of experience writing within the beauty industry
