Game Designer - Internship

About the internship

We are looking for a game designer to join us for an internship period starting from February 1st to at least June, with the possibility for an extension. To qualify for the internship position, you must be an actively enrolled student at a university or vocational school in Sweden. The internship is not paid.

What you will be doing

As a Game Designer at Star Stable Entertainment, you will provide fresh eyes on a new project. Together with a close-knit team of artists, designers and developers, you will work on building great experiences. You will help out with designing levels and implementation tasks in Unity. You will also work with system design and mechanic design.

To thrive in this internship position, we believe that you

- Have experience with Unity.
- Have an understanding of level design. You know how to control space and how players perceive that in a game.
- Knowledge of design principles.
- Find novelty in building experiences for our target audience and is able to find new ways to solve problems.
- Are receptive to feedback as you will be managing feedback from stakeholders, peers and users.
- Are able to break down mechanics, systems and tell how components affect the player.
- Have empathy towards our target audience.
- Bonus: Ability to script in C#.
