The assignment
We are looking for experienced Java Backend Developers. In this project you work with the development and maintenance of the communication with Volvo Groups approximately 1.000.000 vehicles. You will be an important part in the challenge to make sure the vehicles work flawlessly, all day every day all year around! Besides this, your work will also contribute to a better fuel efficiency and therefore a lower impact on our environment.
You will work in an agile team with responsibility for the entire development chain, from requirements, development, test and implementation to maintenance. You will work in a Linux-environment with Java 8, Spring boot, AWS and Microservices. The applications that you will develop will handle a lot of data around the clock so to write efficient and robust code is a key factor. It’s also great if you have experience from load testing.
Your background
We are looking for a software developer with a degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, technical physics or similar, and relevant experience from the automotive industry or other similar technology areas.
Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience of development in Linux and Java 8 (or higher)
- Experience from working in Springboot is a requirement
- Experience of cloud solutions and AWS is a plus
- Fluency in English is a requirement as well as European citizenship
