Web developer to global investment analyst

Perido is recruiting a talented web develeoper for our client, a global and leading provider of investment data. The company provides real-time global market data and have operations in more than 20 countries. This position is placed at their office in central Stockholm.

Description

The role
In this role, you will collaborate with project managers, quality assurance analysts, and developers to build technology solutions for our client's Enterprise Components platform. The platform offers an easy way for clients to include the company's web components into their own website. You will collaborate closely with developers in other offices in Europe, US and Asia.

Your responsibilites include participation in the development of reusable and configurable JavaScript components, as well as taking ownership of HTML and CSS development within the tech team. You define and maintain HTML and CSS guidelines and best practices and make sure these guidelines are understood and followed by all developers. You will also work with architects and other project leads to define non-functional requirements, architectural direction, ensure high quality of the code and avoid technical debt.

You will be part of a team that consists of talented developers, network architects, and IT experts who help make technology a core strength of the company. Although the team members represent a range of skills and knowledge bases, they all view technology as a craft and care deeply about creating positive user experiences. From Agile methodologies to mobile applications, to software as a service delivered from the company's private cloud, they push the boundaries to build scalable, elegant solutions that help investors reach their financial goals.

Requirements

-A bachelor`s degree in computer science or an engineering field; a graduate degree is strongly preferred
-A minimum of two years of prior programming experience
-Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS
-Fluent in English and Swedish

Experience within the following areas is of additional merit:

-Expert knowledge of responsive design
-Expert knowledge of at least one CSS framework (like bootstrap.)
-Experience with CSS pre-processors like SASS and LESS
-Experience with angular.js or other js frameworks is a plus
-Experience with test driven development
-Experience with source code management, especially Git, will be an advantage
-Experience with agile is desirable - particularly working with UX design in iterative manner
-Experience of accessibility standards
