ATG has some of Sweden’s biggest- and fastest-growing digital products, with hundreds of thousands of users every week. We are now intensifying our commitment to our digital development by strengthening the teams that work with digital product development, with a particular focus on streaming, personalization and performance. Together, we are working to achieve our goal of creating the world’s best gaming experience.

About the position
In this role your main focus will be to improve the live-streaming experience on ATG.se by modernizing and adding new features to the video player. One part will be to work in collaboration with the new backend streaming developer to bring functionality to the player that depends on backend, such as time shift, options for selecting bit rates, etc. You will also work with enhancing the player with new functionality, such as building an overlay to be able to provide personalized real-time graphics on top of the video stream. We also want to build and improve integrations on other platforms, such as Apple TV and Chromecast.

You will work together with backend and frontend colleagues in several teams, all collaborating on the ATG.se experience. ATG.se is a single-page application built with React, Redux, Redux Saga and other technologies. We use techniques such as code splitting, websockets, a micro frontend architecture and more on a daily basis. We currently use flow as our static type checker, but are looking at switching to TypeScript.

As an ATG.se frontend developer you will be part of our Frontend Guild, where we meet regularly to share knowledge and best practices, and plan and prioritize for the long-term stability of ATG.se, as well as make improvements to our developer tooling.

We expect you to have prior experience working with

• JavaScript and React.js
• HTML5 based video players

In addition to the above it is beneficial if you have experience of

• Developing for Apple TV or Chromecast
• Developing in TypeScript
• Building and maintaining large and complex single-page applications

Experience of working in similar position is needed to be able to take on this role.

I am Håkan Sandström and I’ve been working at ATG for about one and a half years as a Manager for the Digital Sales channel. I see myself more as a coach than a manager and want to create the best conditions for you as a developer to grow here at ATG.
