Software Engineer with UX expertise

We are looking for a curious and engaged Software Engineer with UX expertise to join one of our teams in Arboga. We are working on solutions for technical training and systems to support air platform operations. You will join a team with great experience in software and systems engineering, and together we build and maintain systems for our customers and users around the world.

Your role

As a Software Engineer, you will be working in a team with development and maintenance of systems for technical training, planning and evaluation and tactical support for air platforms.

Design, develop and maintain software systems with high availability and usability.

Work in close collaboration with other engineers in a skilled team.

Be part of development infrastructure, toolset and deployment processes.

Your profile

You are a driven and curious team player with a high interest in software engineering who wants to keep growing your own skills, as well as being part of driving technology development.

You hold a bachelor degree in the Computer Science field or equivalent education and experience. You are experienced in UX design and know how to realize user demands into usability and graphical design of applications.

You are experienced in writing C#, C++ and other common languages.

You have interest and knowledge about 3ds Max or similar 3D graphics programs.

You have interest and knowledge about Unity or similar game engines.
*

You have good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written.

It is an advantage if you have an interest in software architecture and/or knowledge in 3D modelling/programming.

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

What you will be a part of

You will collaborate with experienced engineers and professionals in an environment that fosters career development and personal growth. You will be part of Training Systems at Simulators, Training and Support Systems (STS), which primarily develop systems that support pilots, maintenance personnel and operators in their daily work with air platforms such as the Gripen aircraft. The team you will join consists mainly of Software end Systems Engineers based in Arboga. STS is part of the Business Area Aeronautics.

We are developing a number of products and alternating between projects to gain experience is important.

Our team consist of 8-10 colleagues with different levels of experience. This means that the less experienced developer can get mentorship, and if you have longer experience you will have the possibility to discuss complex solutions with your peers. We are working with both national and international customers and communication abroad is part of our everyday tasks.
