It is the responsibility of Business Solutions to provide software solutions to empower the business. You will be part of an Integration Team creating and owning integrations between our business applications used across iZettle.

As an Backend Engineer here, you will be given the opportunity to actively contribute to all aspects of the backend in addition to getting involved in all facets of Software engineering including infrastructure, data, deployment, monitoring, architecture, code reviews, pair / mob programming, and more.

The skills you need to succeed:

To be successful in this role, we think that you would greatly benefit from having a solid understanding and a first experience with:

• Building distributed systems;
• Working with continuously delivered systems;
• Programming in Java 8+
• SQL and data modelling;
• Pair/Mob programming.

The key traits you need to exceed:

• Great passion for working together and solving complex problems with your team
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with a lot of different colleagues within the business functions as well as with other engineers
• You gladly share your knowledge, experience and opinions while understanding and respecting that the last word comes from the team;
• You are known for your strong desire to learn and your endless appetite for exploring new things;

Earn extra points if you have some knowledge or/and experience with:

• AWS platform;
• Unix Linux OS;
• Accounting (principles, lingo);
• FinTech or/and Financial services.
