What you’ll do

TV as a service is changing rapidly and streaming and other services integrate more and more with each other.  People have different ways of consuming TV today and that is a challenge that we at Telenor will embrace. Telenor will take the next step in the future services in the TV area and need a client integration specialist that can collaborate internally and with partners.  

Your contact areas within Telenor are many and you will work in a close collaboration with our divisions and our suppliers. Your role is to define and communicate requirements as well as technical possibilities and limitations. In the role as Streaming Engineer you will act as subject matter expert in development project that involve TV services and be the expert in how to integrate TV terminals with platforms and services.

Examples of your responsibilities
* Contribute as a member of the DEVOPS group of TV-services in the Networks department
* Participate in RFQ processes and provide technical recommendations and vendor selection support
* Ensure that the streaming apps are delivering a good quality and follow up with our suppliers
* Follow up on usage and ratings of the apps in the distribution channels

Who are you

Your ability to quickly analyze complex questions and problems is very good. Furthermore, you are interested in continuously developing in the expert role. You have ability to present new and inventive ideas and solutions, and you can respectfully challenge traditional approaches. Finally, you are a very good communicator who communicates clearly verbally as well as in writing, creating reports and documentation.

We’re looking for candidates which have:
* Master/Bachelor of Science in Telecom or IT, or equivalent work experience
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in IP-based TV systems
* Experience of app management, technology and the web of streaming.
* Good knowledge in client OS like IOS, Android, TVOS and web.
* Knowledge and experience with tools used in the app's life cycle - such as the Google Play Store, iTunes AppStore, Testflight, Crashlytics, and the like.
* Should have more or less Competence/experience in the following
+ API- technologies like JSON, XML, REST and such
+ Streaming platform design and function
+ Streaming protocols
+ OS like Webos, Tizen
