What You'll Do Here…

You will be part of the team IT Operations & Support within the Infrastructure & IT Operations department. Together with the team you will be responsible for all operational aspects of the globally installed infrastructure both central and local environments.

This role is located in our newly started R&D site in Linköping which means that you will as part of your assignment take the responsibility of establish the IT Operations & Support function in Linköping. You will be representing the global IT in Linköping and be part of supporting technical solutions for Linköping based on global guidelines. Besides your coworkers in Lund you will work closely with the R&D team in Linköping with approx. 40 colleagues.

As a System Administrator at Axis you have a problem-solving mindset. We believe that you can manage and solve complex incidents but also have the ability to develop the infrastructure to improve the service and understand our impact on our colleagues consuming the infrastructure. Besides the daily operation such as maintenance and changes, you will need to understand technical strategic plans and have the ability of turning these into actions to implement and manage these long-term. Daily you will be in contact with our fellow Axis colleagues which means you will need to understand both technical and non-technical requirements. We believe that you will have the ability to design and implement these requirements onto our Platform.

You will be part of the team that is responsible for on-call which means that you will have On-call duty. There will also be some travel (approx. 20 days/year) included in the role as we support with delivering all on-site infrastructure.

What We Are Looking For…

We think that you have 5+ years' experience in an IT Operations role, daily operation and within maintenance & development. In your previous work you have gained the knowledge and understanding of how to deliver a stable infrastructure in a timely fashion. You are also able to identify improvements both from a technical as well as from a process perspective. You are curious about new technology and are eager to take part of moving our platforms into the future. As a person you like to work together with others and are proactive in your thoughts and actions.

We Believe You Will Need…

To have an extensive knowledge and experience of Linux administration like Debian, Ubuntu and Red Hat. We are an engineering company, so we think you share our interest and understanding of technology! As Axis, as many other companies, are exploring the cloud, we would be really happy if you have experience in that area as well. We think you have some basic understanding of Networking to be able to contribute fully to our development agenda.

Below we have created a wish list and maybe you have experiences or knowledges in the following areas:

* Experience of Jenkins, Cfengin, Ansible
* Experience of containers i.e. Dockers, Kubernetes
* Experience of coding & scripting i.e. Python
* Experience of cloud service like AWS, Azure
* Experience of firewalls (general knowledge of firewall rules and policies setting)
* Experience od knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching (routing protocol BGP & ipv4/ipv6)
* Experience of network scripting
* Experience of NSX
