Frontend Developer

We are looking for an awesome and passionate JavaScript Frontend Developer, or perhaps even Full Stack, for one of our teams at Playtech Sports in Malmö. This team develops mobile and desktop web sportsbook applications using the latest technologies. Are you the one we are looking for?

About the position

In this role you will be developing the core parts of our Digital Sportsbook Frontend which serves multiple web applications processing millions of transactions every day with high demands on scalability and real-time performance.

At Playtech Sports we strongly believe in the power of teams and agile methodologies. You will work closely within the team to create designs, code, review and together with other teams make sure the Product is shippable every iteration. As part of our continuous improvement culture you will be exploring new technologies, systems and ways of working.

Who are you?

The ideal candidate probably has a higher technical education and a 3+ years' experience of development web applications using JavaScript Frameworks, preferably React. We believe you’re a curious and eager learner when it comes to new technologies. You are comfortable working with remote and distributed teams, and you are fluent in English, both in speech and writing. You have a collaborative mindset and feel passionate coding and designing together with your teammates.

Technology that we use except for JavaScript frameworks are HTML5, CSS3, WebSocket, MongoDB, Java. You need to have detailed understanding of the UI and UX of a web application as well as knowledge using Module Bundlers (webpack or similar) plus experience with source control (Git). It’s great if you already are familiar with agile methodologies and experienced with designing APIs. It is meritorious if you have full stack knowledge in Java, Spring, J2EE and Tomcat plus Linux and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) plus knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes.
