Our Senior Network Engineer has moved on to new challenges within Tre - we are looking for our next star!

About the role
As a Network Engineer, you will be part of the 8-person OMS team. The team ensures that our IT systems are in tip-top condition – this covers applications, hardware, and operational systems. We investigate and solve production issues and constantly try to improve our systems’ long-term stability, security, and performance.

Your prime responsibility will be the OSS suite from Ericsson including products like ENM, ENIQ, and TMA. You will also be responsible and take the lead for other systems such as IBM's Netcool Tivoli. The IT environment is primarily based on Linux, bare metal and different virtualization layers as well as telco OSS’s. The tools hold proprietary scripting languages as well as open source ones, php, python etc.

The main part of the role is maintaining, supporting, and helping the users that work with your systems each day. You will be responsible for analysis and resolution of error reports and users' complaints. You will work in close cooperation with our contractors to plan upgrades and improvements to the systems and processes. The work includes everything from visiting the site to replace a broken disk to setting requirements for future upgrades, project management, automating procedures and formally accepting the introduction of a new OSS system. You will work closely with other departments within Tre's organization, such as the NOC.

We constantly seek to improve ourselves and our way of working, and we encourage the contribution of new ideas. You will improve existing solutions and suggest, evaluate, and adopt new applications and technologies.

Who you are
To be successful in the position, we believe you will have several years in a similar role and experience of similar systems. You will enjoy working with technical system complexity, and it is in your nature to prioritize your tasks. Your drive and commitment to solving technical problems have made you successful in previous roles. You leave nothing undone and grab challenges when they arise - you are enthusiastic and have a burning interest in systems!

The position will require a great deal of interaction, both with the organization and vendors; hence good communication skills are required to speak and write in English and preferably also Swedish. Driver license type B is required to perform field verifications.
