As you can imagine, keeping track of over 1 000 000 connected customer assets rolling around the world is indeed a challenge. Consumer Services at Volvo Group Connected Solutions is responsible for the end user services, from idea to development and operation. Together with our partners and customers we create value through fantastic user experience and business enhancing services and products. Within Consumer Services we have the extraordinary great Driver Times Management team as well as the extraordinary great Diagnostics & Service Planning team– and your experience is needed.

We are now looking for Senior Backend and full stack Java Developers within Driver Times Management as well as within Diagnostics & Service Planning.

The role

Develop new software applications according to our development standards

Deploy, operate and maintain our applications incl. driving continuous improvement of the same for better quality, functionality, cost effectiveness, etc.

Actively contribute to the solution design of new services

And finally, but not the least, continuously reflect upon how we are doing things and where we can improve

Your profile

We are looking for Java Developers with superpowers - excellent analytical skills, great at problem-solving, passionate about technology and who loves developing software applications! You ensure that you understand how your work is adding value to our customers and are not limited to take on development tasks but also willing to chip in were needed, may it be testing, scrum master or other activity. In this team we are curious about everything at work and have a “can do” attitude solving our challenges together, making sure to complete each sprint as planned. We would like our new colleague to have this same curiosity, drive and being a team player.

Your personality is your major reason for success, but we think you have:

• A university degree in software engineering, computer science or similar
• Several years of working experience as Application Developer, but we also recognize experience through own hobby projects
• Java 11, Spring, SQL, Git, Linux, REST
• Knowledge in following techniques is a great plus: React, Spring Boot, GraphQL, JMS, PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Swagger, Scala, Gatling, Asynchronous programming, Micro service architecture, AWS cloud services, Test automation frameworks, DevOps, Networks, Linux Administration, Computer Security.
• Valid work-permit for Sweden, if not EU-citizen
• Fluent in English - both written and spoken
• Fluent in Swedish – both written and spoken for the Driver Times Management team
