Who we are
Kollmorgen is a global company which develops motion control and AGV systems and works with customers in many different industries all over the world.
Kollmorgen AGV is a part of Kollmorgen and we have our Swedish headquarter in Mölndal. The target is to provide world leading technology for the rapidly growing market of AGVs and Mobile Robots. The about 100 employees are working with product development, professional services, sales, marketing and finance.
Our colleague Matilda's story about her working day
Most of my days starts with checking the result of the nightly test run. I go through the overviews and logs that are produced and troubleshoot if necessary. Then I meet the rest of my team at our daily scrum where we go through what we are doing right now and sync if we need any help.
The morning continues with our forum for everyone who works with quality assurance in all of our teams, we meet once a week to share knowledge and discuss current issues. I spend the rest of the day planning and working on an upcoming release.
In my team, me and the developers synchronize what types of tests that need to be done, identify risks and decide how to work together to be satisfied with the quality assurance. With help of what we have decided, I have a basis of the tests I am responsible for and start working with implementation of some integration tests. That means tests with a connection between our software and hardware and they consist of a combination of python and robot framework, and some hardware of course.
When we develop test cases, iterations and collaboration with developers and other testers are often required, which is fun!"
