The Distributed Computation Engine Team

As a member of the DQIX (Distributed Computation Engine) team, you will have direct impact on the core components of Qlik’s future products. Our team develops Qlik’s next-generation calculation engine, which specializes on processing vast data quantities (i.e. Big Data). Searching, filtering and computing on billions of data values is challenging, and we are therefore producing cutting-edge technology and fast algorithms.

How you will spend your time as our next C++ Developer

In your role as C++ Developer, you will be part of the team that develops Qlik’s Distributed Computation Engine. You will participate in the full software development cycle, so you will do SW analysis & design of new features, C++ implementation, implementation of automated test cases, and bug-fixing of the implementation. You will have an opportunity to work closely with our senior architects, developers and product management team in order to identify the right architecture and design for your implementation.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain new Distributed Engine product features
• Analyze new product requirements and turn the findings into implementation

Required Skills and Experience

• Master’s degree in Engineering Physics, Computer Science or similar
• Passionate about writing efficient software algorithms
• >2 years of experience in software development in either C++ or C
• Familiarity with Linux development environments
• Experience in using Git, Github, Jenkins and Jira
• Being curious, self-driven and goal-oriented
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Passionate about teamwork

Beneficial Skills and Experience

• Passionate about software development in C++17
• Basic understanding of the Big Data domain
• Experience in working with search algorithms
• Experience in working with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in working with AWS cloud environment
• Experience of NLP or ML
• Familiarity with the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics industry domains
• Familiarity with our Qlik products (in particular QlikSense)
