Software Engineer for embedded software platform design

Job Description

As a senior software engineer you will develop software for embedded systems, typically for products in the automotive industry such as integrated instrument panels for cars and motorcycles, and Car Interior Monitoring System. You will work on exciting new projects with cutting edge technology for a highly successful, profitable company. We expect you to be self-driven, able to challenge yourself and gain the experience you need in order to solve the tasks at hand. In this position we expect you to:

• Participate in architectural analysis and design of software functionality.
• Develop software in C / C++ for embedded systems, middle-ware and lower area.
• Participate in every stage of the software development from design and brainstorming through feature implementation.
• Take an active part in an agile development team with international collaboration.
• Take an active roll in taking initiative on upcoming topics and have the ability to take lead on given topics.

Qualifications

• Master/Bachelor in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Relevant experience from software development in RTOS and Linux based embedded systems with focus on IPC.
• Development expertise in C/C++ language.
• Thorough knowledge of object-oriented development and design.
• Experience with modern and agile development methods such as Scrum and SAFe.
• Experience on Software Configuration management, Continuous Delivery and Continuous integration using tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins & RTC.
• Good understanding of the Open System Interconnection (OSI) Model and Communication Technologies for Embedded Systems such as Ethernet stack knowledge.
• Experience from Blackberry QNX and its toolchain is valuable.
• Experience from Autosar and Autosar configuration tools, e.g Davinci Configuration, is valuable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English is a must, German will be beneficial).
