We are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer to strengthen our Production Test Systems team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will work in a department responsible for developing and maintaining production test systems. In this role, you will participate in design, implementation and maintenance of software made for high volume camera assembly systems.
You will be a part of a cross functional team consisting of software, mechanical, electrical and imaging engineers that together develops complete test systems used at our production sites.
Your main tasks will be:
• Within the cross functional team, design and implement software for new test systems. (Will mainly be done in C# and .NET)
• Support product development teams with setup of new products on existing test systems.
• Support our EMS production partners with continuous improvements and debugging of production issues on running systems. On-site support may be necessary from time to time.
• General debugging and development support of production test software (C# and .NET)
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You will in this position interact with stakeholders from different parts of the organisation, such as project development, operations and quality department and it’s therefore important that you are open minded and a good communicator.
We believe that you have the following qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Computer science, Electrical engineering or similar
• More than 5 years’ experience from C# and .NET programming
• Experience from electronics manufacturing and test development for such systems
• Experience from usage of I/O devices, motor controllers and similar
• Source code management (Git, svn)
It is considered an extra plus if you also have experience from the following areas:
• NI TestStand
• Experience from C programming in Linux environment
• Python scripting
• Optics and image sensor technology
• TCP/IP communications and WireShark usage
Furthermore you are fluent in English. Travelling to production sites may be necessary, we estimate 10 days/year.
THE BASE VIDEO PRODUCTS DEPARTMENT
The position is part of the product development department (Base Video Products) even though the actual work will be done close to the production and production test systems. BVP is the organization within Axis Research & Development that runs the development projects of our network cameras. The development projects starts with an idea of a product and ends when the product is available for purchase in the market, thus including industrialization – start of production. We are a large part of Axis R&D and continue to grow to meet the demand for new innovative products that can fulfill the need of our customers.
