Fullstack Developer

Storytel is Northern Europe's largest audiobook streaming service and we’re now looking for a tester to join the team! About the Team

The goal of the team is to build subscription models that fit the needs of our 20+ different markets. We are mainly responsible for the subscription model backend infrastructure, the user experience in using the service on different subscriptions as well as for the flows around purchasing and modifying your subscription. Apart from that, we are also responsible for tools for managing subscriptions and creating special offers.

A full-stack/backend developer in our team will be an active part in making architectural decisions, grooming and building new features as well as investigating system behaviors.

About the Role

As a developer at Storytel, you will work with experienced colleagues across a wide field of technologies. We do a lot of our work in both the backend and frontend of web and mobile applications. We are expanding and are looking for experienced full-stack/backend developers to join us. We host our services in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform using a variety of languages including Java, C#, and Go. About You

To be successful in this role we believe that you have

At least 4 years of experience coding HTTP services in typed languages - Java, C#, Go, etc.

Experience in building APIs for Web and Mobile applications

️Experience working with cloud services - Google Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS, or similar

️Relational Database schema design and querying - MySQL, Postgres, etc.

🇧Excellent at writing and speaking English

And for some bonus points:

Experience coding in frontend languages, such as React or Svelte

Experience writing appropriate and useful Unit Tests

️Ability to write understandable, secure, and maintainable code

‍💻Quick to track down bugs and implement fixes in complex systems
