Senior Front end Developer

Globalization, digitalization, and mobility are examples of trends that are affecting our business environment. We are increasing our ability to make use of our information assets and utilize new technology. We are now seeking a senior front-end developer for our development team. 

What we (and you) do 

OAS (Object and Structure tool) is Scania’s proprietary metadata-driven Product Data Management (PDM) system that houses not only data describing individual parts, but also data detailing how (structures) and when (change orders/conditions) these parts can be combined to produce assemblies, modules, and complete vehicles. 

You will be joining an agile team of front-end developers currently engaged in developing and maintaining OAS in order to provide high-quality, maintainable, and feasible technical solutions to fulfill the users’ needs. You will be working closely with product and process owners on issues relating to functional requirements and user experience.  

Your profile 

To be able to thrive in this position you should enjoy working in a team towards common goals, being active in a social context, and finds it easy to form new relations. This is important since you will be involved in different development projects with different stakeholders. You also have the ability to drive innovation projects and manage development needs with a fast agile paced, and for this, you have a proactive approach. 

This is what you  have: 

• Degree in computer science or similar area or equivalent work experience  
• At least 10 years of experience in the field. 
• Extensive knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as HTTP, REST APIs, and HATEOAS. 
• Extensive knowledge and experience in developing single-page front-end applications using JavaScript-based frameworks, preferably Angular 
• Fluent skills in English 

If you also have this that is meritorious 

• are familiar with test-driven development using Protractor. 
• are familiar with version control and bundling systems, such as Git and Webpack.
