Senior QA Engineer in the optical fibre network domain

Description:

We can offer an exciting position as Senior QA Engineer in a team that is developing a new innovative product in the optical fibre network domain.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will collaborate with a global team of embedded software testers, developers, designers, project managers and products owners. Your task will be to ensure the products' testability by ensuring that the necessary system test and non-functional testing are in place. The device under test is part of an enterprise core network product. You will be part of a great team that does non-functional testing and system testing using an assortment of tools. Examples of non-functional testing are performance testing, load testing and security testing.

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Mandatory that you have worked with network products such as switches, routers and SFP+ modules
- Understanding of the optical fibre network domain
- Mandatory with experience creating system tests for network products
- Solid understanding of planning, designing and executing system tests
- Solid knowledge of product development that combines hardware and software
- Desirable with experience creating non-functional tests in Python
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux networking products
- Hands-on experience with git
- Interest in continuous integration and deployment
- Worked with JIRA or equivalent tool

Education & Experience Necessary for Success:

- Master's degree or equivalent education
- Experience within the testing of embedded Linux network products
- Experience in automated testing
- Experience in CI/CD using Jenkins or equivalent
- Experience in working according to Agile Principles
- Experience of networking protocols and networking knowledge in general
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
