At KISI, we develop disruptive access control systems where your smartphone becomes your keychain. We install our solutions in small to medium sized office spaces, gyms, co-working spaces and residential high rise buildings, greatly facilitating the process of granting and revoking access. We’ve recently secured a significant round of funding to scale our development efforts, and are now looking for an experienced backend engineer who wants to become part of our team and join us in shaping the platform for office security.

We’re looking for you who writes clean and concise code that gets the job done, and appreciates an atmosphere where change is normal, progress rapid and people awesome to work with. And where we always want to go further:

❏ Improve and extend our backend which our apps rely on – apps that will be used by millions in megacities such as New York, Singapore and San Francisco
❏ Work on a landscape of different systems, the Internet of Things – from apps to KISI devices installed at customer sites, everything is connected 24×7

What we’ll be working on:

❏ API: expose further features to our apps through a REST style JSON API, e.g. webhooks to notify office managers when users unlock their places
❏ Integrations I: make it easy for customers to massively share keys, e.g. by letting them upload CSV files, or connect straight to their AD database
❏ Integrations II: integrate various hardware and software systems into the API, e.g. concierge services for offices or bluetooth chips (no need to do embedded stuff – unless you want to!)
❏ Analytics: provide office managers with detailed insights on the usage of their KISI installation, e.g. by using statsd to collect increments
❏ And much more!
