Data Engineer

The Opportunity

In your role as a Data Engineer, you will be an important part of our Data Analytics team in Stockholm, reporting to the Head of Analytics. The overall focus for the role is to evaluate the current data analytics tech stack and ensure reliability and ongoing qualitative data delivery to the business end. A few months into the assignment, you will spend an increasing amount of time on evaluating future tech needs within the data analytics field and to drive the needed technical changes.

You will support the building of data flow channels and processing systems to extract, transform, load and integrate data from various sources, and to develop and improve Twigeo’s general code base. The continuous goal and drive for the position is to improve the data analytics teams capabilities by making them more effective through developing modern data pipe-line,- storage- and analytics tools. And from an organizational perspective, enable scalability within the analytics offering to Twigeo’s cutting-edge tech clients.

The team today consists of six people and the work is divided in three areas; Core, Tools and Dev, where Tools will be your main area.

Together with the Analytics team, you’ll build the next level analytics in a digital and international environment where knowledge sharing is emphasized and critical thinking is encouraged.

We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who likes driving development, takes own initiatives and is hands-on. You have a can-do attitude and are a strong self-motivator that jumps in and executes from day one. You also have the ability to listen and the will to communicate and collaborate, and you adapt to changing situations. Since your main mission is to make Twigeo employees more efficient we are looking for someone who is service minded and triggered by helping others and getting direct feedback from end users.

We believe that you are able and comfortable in taking a leading role within the analytics team from a technical perspective. You’ll be expected to evaluate options, suggest solutions and to drive the decided changed – for which we believe you need to be credible, reliable and trustworthy.

You’re a developer at heart, with extensive back-end experience. Front-end experience is meriting.

You need a solid experience (5+ years) within data engineering. You are highly proficient in python and have experience from various data engineering- and data analytics tools & competences such as airflow, AWS (or other cloud suites), data, API and system integration tools, MySQL, SQL and data visualization tools. Fluency in English both spoken and written is a must.
