Ericsson in Lund is looking for new engineering talents who would like to develop and test Base station SW for 4G and 5G.

We are looking for candidates, who have a deep interest in developing and testing sophisticated software targeting a multi core, embedded system. Experience and knowledge from working with communication software and protocols is a further advantage. We are recruiting people with varied levels of experience.

What we offer you

You will be part of a Software Development Team with responsibility ranging from early design to customer acceptance of new functionality, while maintaining current products. The Team systemize, design, develop and verify the software and take joint responsibility for all team tasks. Involvement in the end-to-end product development means implies an interest in understanding the baseband hardware blocks and functionalities in addition to your software skills. Your focus will be in the lower layers (L1 or L2) of our 5G SW. As SW developer/tester you will get the opportunity to learn the design and architecture in-depth, enabling you to develop high quality and easily testable and maintainable software.

  • Keep an open mind to also work outside your own subject area to be able to broaden your competence to get a deeper understanding of our products.

Education/Qualifications:

You have a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Wireless Communication, Applied Physics or equivalent. We also see that you have high interest in SW development and testing, as well as and basic understanding of network layer protocols.

Furthermore, interest and experience in any of below areas is a merit:

  • Embedded real-time SW architecture principles, implementation and verification
  • Multi-core processor programming
  • Programming skills e.g. C/C++, Python, Java
  • General signal processing and algorithms
  • LTE and NR baseband knowledge, e.g. signal processing or 3GPP specifications
  • Software verification and test automation technologies
  • Software integration and trouble shooting
  • Knowledge and Skills in Lean & Agile
