We are looking for several engineers with different specializations to join our offices in Stockholm, Berlin and Washington D.C.

The Engineering team’s focuses are on developing new products and features, supporting the needs of our Fortune 500 enterprise customers. The engineering teams do this by designing and delivering software components that enable our Hive Streaming technology into our video platform partners’ applications, but also developing and designing other features for example our Analytic tool and “Silent Testing” and optimizing our core technology to give the best Video Experience for our customers!

Working as an Engineer at Hive

We are looking for several engineers for our teams at Hive! As an engineer at Hive, you focus on building the tools needed to ensure that our customers can create successful video streaming events.

Besides purely technical duties, you'll work closely with customers and partners, ensuring that Hive works correctly and according to specification in their environment.

For example, you will…

• Design and implement integrations with video platform APIs and SDKs
• Create efficient application specific stores that serve diverse datasets to Hive's products
• Work closely with the rest of the engineering team to bring new solutions to production
• Maintaining existing code written mainly in Scala and Java

· Review code and sync

· Base on priority, work on support / fixes or on specific projects

· Work with projects, for example new integration or some service needed by the Partner or our Customers

• Collaborating with other people from other teams at Hive. For example, with Backend engineers to design features/parts of the system, Frontend engineers to agree on API specs and exposed data, and with the Product team to be aligned regarding customer needs

Previous Experience

· 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or similar role

· Proven fluency in both Java, Scala and HTML

· Good knowledge, or preferably working experience, within HTTP-based video streaming protocols

· Knowledge of nodeJS/JavaScript/Typescript

· Knowledge of video streaming players

· Great problem-solving skills

· Great communication skills in English, both verbal and written
