Do you have a passion for technology and a drive for innovation? Nasdaq Systems and Operations team is looking for a Systems Operations Engineer who can help us manage and operate our modern technologies.Nasdaq is currently expanding its capabilities and products to achieve this goal.

With this position we offer

In this role, you will be operating our state of the art trading platform. You will be responsible for handling incoming issues, solving incidents and be involved in the launch of new versions. In addition, you will work with performance testing and recovery procedures that are performed for different releases. As a Systems Operations Engineer, you will take part in different exciting projects, such as enhancing and introducing new improvements and products.

Your role and responsibilities:

Be part of all activities regarding our applications, such as the handling of incoming issues, incident solving, requirements and launching of new releases.

Design, plan and implement changes to our existing systems, as well as implementing new solutions.

Plan and execute non-functional and performance testing.

Act as a specialist in operational issues, questions and requirements.

Take part in different projects regarding current and new customers.

Maintain operational documentation needed for second line operation.

Manage projects and independently carry out our parts of large implementation projects.

Were looking for someone with:

Experience from working with DevOps, System Administration, Network, Application Operations or other related areas.

Knowledge of Linux/Unix.

Knowledge of Scripting (Perl, Python, Bash etc.), and Databases (SQL).

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline is meriting.

Excellent language skills in written and spoken English.

The ability to perform multiple tasks combined with a great work ethic.

It would be great if you also have:

Knowledge in Cloud Computing, Containerization (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes) is meriting (AWS).

As a person, you have an agile mindset, enjoy working in a fast-paced, mission critical and client-focused environment. In order to be a good match for this role, you need to be able to work effectively both independently as well as in cooperation with others.
