Job Description

As a React Developer at Assessio you’ll be part of a growing team building out the frontend applications for our products and platforms. Your main responsibilities will be centred around implementing user-interface React components and applications comprising our next generation platform.

Together with the rest of the engineering and platform teams, you will have the opportunity to work with modern technologies to develop best-in-class cloud-native applications and will be given the opportunity to define and influence the technical and architectural decisions defining those systems.

Assessio’s Engineering team comprises individuals with a broad range of cultural backgrounds and a combination of both on-site and remote team members. Your contribution will be essential to both the team and the business success of the Assessio group. We are thus looking for a team player with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility.

Main Responsibilities

· Developing new user-facing features using React.js and GraphQL

· Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code following the teams SDLC

· Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use, including use of technologies and tooling such as Styled Components and Storybook

· Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

· Ensuring that our applications are responsive, compatible and accessible across different browsers and devices

· Create technical documentation related to the frontend technologies used

· Work directly as part of the agile teams building our SaaS platform

Qualifications and Experience

· B.Sc degree or higher in relevant engineering field

· At least 2 years commercial experience working with React, Javascript and frontend web technologies.

· Excellent proficiency in JavaScript, HTML and CSS

· Solid understanding of React.js and its core principles, together with popular React workflows

· Solid understanding of GraphQL and its core principles

· Familiarity with RESTful APIs

· Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

· Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

· Experience working with cloud-native technologies, especially AWS, a plus

· Experience working with agile teams and processes

· Excellent problem solving skills

· Good spoken and written English language skills
