Annotell is a fast-growing startup with a mission to provide the world's best perception data platform. We have set the foundation for a modern web application but need a frontend engineer to help us take it to the next level. Our users rely on excellent, fast, and simple user interfaces to quickly create high-quality annotations.
We use modern tools, and our web app is modularly built using TypeScript and React. We develop our backend in Scala and Python, and the complete solution is delivered using Kubernetes on Google Cloud. We offer a chance to work with the latest technology while focusing on creating simple and reliable solutions.
You will work in a cross-functional team with colleagues of various skillsets such as UX design and machine learning. The team is self-organising around a mission to solve customer needs. Together, you take features from idea to production and observe the value created.
Maybe you are fresh out of school and looking for your first challenge? Or perhaps you are coming from a long career and are looking for a new opportunity?
With more experience, we expect you to go all the way from high-level architecture to efficient code and to have the ability to inspire others in this. A strong understanding of React is a bonus, but a solid experience of building web applications is more significant. Experience optimising the performance of frontend applications, 3D or 2D development in JavaScript would be a great plus, and we would love to hear from you!
As a less experienced developer we expect the enthusiasm that comes with learning a new craft, while as a senior in addition, we expect you to take initiative and lead on areas within your domain.
