Senior Developer, Front end Lead - Configura

Configura works with parametric configuration. We develop rules-based software to draw spaces in 2D and 3D for leading companies within the commercial furniture, kitchen and material handling industries. In the background, prices and configurations are automatically calculated. We are a global company with customers in 10 countries and users in more than 100. Job description
With passion for product development, we work in project teams in the product organization, and each project team has access to Architects, UI/UX experts and QA experts.

We are creating a new cloud native platform for Configura to build our next generation cloud-based products on. We have a clear development process and structured development methodology where it´s the project team that owns the project and makes the important decisions.

As a Senior Developer at Configura, you’ll find diversity in your day-to-day work and have plenty of opportunities to grow within your areas of interest. You will design solutions in collaboration with architects and UI/UX before a project starts and once the project starts, you are responsible for making the solution a reality (with support from architects/UI/UX).

Configura is in an exciting growth phase where Cloud Services will play a central part. Our ambition is to develop new cloud-based products and to do that we need a new cloud-based application platform. We aim to create a new scalable cloud native infrastructure with a tightly integrated web application framework.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design cloud-based applications with a focus on usability and performance.
• Take responsibility for the technical vision when a project is being implemented and raising concerns if the technical vision does not pan out.
• Work in cross-functional project-teams where you collaborate with other developers, architects, project managers, product managers, QAs, and UX-designers.

Your profile
To be successful as a Senior Developer, you should be a communicative and mature person who takes pride in their work and is driven to deliver with quality. We believe you are a self-starter with the ability to identify and solve problems. You are comfortable taking on an active role in decision making as well as coaching and motivating your team members. While you collaborate well, you also work independently and enjoy disappearing into the code with headphones on every now and then.
You value quality, have a long-term thinking and like to lift others.

We believe you are someone who:
• Cares about the user experience of both users and developers.
• Knows how to build a first class front-end where the user experience is key, and cares about performance as much as accessibility.
• Is an expert on modern web frameworks, build tools, and knows HTML and CSS ins and outs.
• Is communicative and have strong collaboration skill and can lead other developers to success.

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Good writing and verbal English communication skills
• Collaborative and enjoy working in teams
• Modern JS frameworks, ex. React/Next.js
• Modern JS build toolchains, ex. Webpack / Babel
• Modern JS package managers, ex. NPM/Yarn
• Core web technologies, ex. HTML, CSS

Bonus skills/experience:
• UI/UX knowledge
• Experience creating foundational components for web based applications
