.NET backend developer at growing digital music start-up

Job Description

This role will land you right in the middle of an exciting and evolving industry - music. Every day you will be part of a team helping thousands of artists distribute their music to major online music services worldwide.

The role is split into two main areas of responsibility: Refactoring outdated code and helping to build new features we are developing.

On the refactoring side, you will be responsible for helping update outdated code on the site to make it compatible with Entity framework. This is vital to the growth and maintainability of our product and is one of the most important challenges we have in front of us as we scale our service. 

The refactoring project will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of our system. This foundation will enable your expertise and creativity to help us design, build and deploy new features and functionality which we are developing. These include a range of different features, ranging from new payment systems, analytics tools, content systems and API integrations. 

Tools are important, and as a member of our team you can choose your very own hardware configuration which best suits your needs. Our newly furbished workplace is located right in the center of the beautiful city of Stockholm and boasts an energetic and creative team from a diverse range of backgrounds. 

Skills and experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience developing in .Net technologies (Framework 3.5+)
• High competence in Microsoft SQL Server
• C#
• ASP .NET / MVC
• Experience with Entity Framework
• Good command of HTML, CSS and Java Script (primarily jQuery)
• A broad understanding of frameworks, libraries and design patterns
• Excellent programming skills, can write structured, maintainable code

Bonus: You have performed similar refactoring tasks in a previous role(s)
