What do we offer?  
At DevOps Enablement at Volvo Cars Digital (Corporate), we are responsible for the design, delivery, and support of shared technical solutions used by hundreds of agile teams in all three Volvo Cars Digital units: Commercial Digital, Product Creation & Industrial Digital, and Corporate Digital.  

DevOps Enablement advocates modern DevOps ways of working and is responsible for shared DevOps toolchains used at enterprise scale. You will be a member of one of the agile teams responsible for integrating commercial and open-source vendor solutions and making them available as shared internal IT services. We use products such as ServiceNow, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps & Cloud, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, Grafana, and Apica. The primary stakeholders are software engineers, platform engineers, and members of agile teams. Additional stakeholders include Major Incident Managers, Product Managers, and Team Managers.  

What’s in it for you?   
The work consists of making significant hands-on contributions to the integration of DevOps toolchains across Volvo Cars Digital organization, and advocate for modern Enterprise DevOps ways of working and culture. You will be a member of an agile team capturing and completing work using backlog items and tasks on a sprint basis according to SAFe. The expected outcome of your work is increased active daily users of the solutions we evolve and support. There will be an emphasis on DevOps monitoring, event management, and runbook automation, an area where there is a lot of room for innovation and opportunities to make a significant difference for many users.  

What you’ll do   
Evolve a DevOps event monitoring process compatible with ITSM/ITIL concepts and existing toolchains for incident management.  
Close collaboration with Product Owner of DevOps Services  
Active contribution in daily Scrum and agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, PI Planning, and retrospectives.  
Contribute to on-going discussions with stakeholders in Microsoft Teams.  
Demo prototypes and MVP style solutions, low-fi mockups, architecture patterns, etc.  

You and your skills   
At least 5 years of programming experience and skill in Git version control.  
Experience with agile planning and estimation using Scrum.  
Experience with being on-call (but not required in the role).  
Experience with automated monitoring and incident management.  
Fluent in English (written and spoken).  
Technical education at the university level or equivalent experience.  

Personal qualities  
Tech-savvy and *-as-code mentality.  
Resilient and strategic, enterprise thinking.  
Diplomatic and persuasive.  
Self-driven and outcome-oriented.
