Frontend Developer - React

Parcels have been delivered to people's homes for centuries, millennia even (rough guesstimation disclaimer). But a solution with digitalized lockers across an entire nation connected by sophisticated software that allows the user to know with precision when the order is ready for pickup, let’s just say that’s something new.

As of today we have had over one million unique users in Sweden, meaning that one in every ten Swedes use our service and interact with our products. As we continue to grow our user base, and expand into new markets, we are looking for Frontend Developers to join our engineering team in Stockholm to continue the evolution of the products.

What you will be doing

As a Frontend Engineer you will develop and maintain applications using modern JavaScript tooling. We work in small crossfuntional teams, meaning that you will interact with designers, product managers, frontend peers as well as backend engineers on a daily basis. Our teams work with clear mission statements and well defined scopes and accountability. That being said we often change priorities quickly and a flexible mindset and willingness to develop your skill set beyond the obvious will be invaluable traits for anyone who joins us. The Operational Systems & Apps team work on everything that makes Instabox, Instabox. This ranges from driver support portals, courrier apps all the way to our new admin console - we would love to tell you more about it, for now let's just say it is a gamechanger. Technologies and way of workings you will get to play around with:

• React
• TypeScript
• Design Systems
• Automated testing

Instabox strongly believes in the Backend-for-Frontend pattern, giving you the opportunity to be part of designing the endpoints that your client code will be interfacing with, and a chance for the curious to learn Node.js.

Who you are

Right now we are looking for colleagues who have above entry level experience, meaning that you will need to have worked as a frontend engineer for minimum a couple of years before joining us. We value people who are eager to learn and regardless if you’ve worked as a consultant or at a product company, you are the kind of developer who realises that in order to build user interfaces that are loved by users, you need to stay ahead of the curve and try new things.

Beyond the obvious we would like to see evidence of the following when reviewing your profile;

• Previous experience in developing data oriented frontend applications.
• A soft spot for (great) UX
• Git experience - we know, we know, but we had to include it…
• Experience writing accessible and semantic markup
• A track record of writing clear and testable code
• Experience with React and Typescript
• Experience with automated testing
