Freedrum Studio is looking for an Application Developer to join the R&D team full-time at their office in Malmö, Sweden.

About Us

Freedrum Studio is a venture-backed musical instrument manufacturer based in Malmö, Sweden. We create drumming products that encourage more people to play the drums more often. Our team combines a love of music and technology to create innovative products for musicians all around the world.

Our goal is simple: we want to bring more drummers into the world. We are doing this by creating a virtual drum kit that works with an app to help aspiring drummers learn how to play and share their creations with the world. Our growing team of eleven is a tight, cross-functional group of engineers, designers, and marketers that have come together from a love for music and technology.

About You

You're a software engineer that is specialised in application development. You enjoy working within a small cross-functional team that’s striving towards a single goal. You value the impact of design on the user experience and have a user-first mindset.

You have an undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Sciences and also have an additional five years of experience in application development.

The Role

You will share the responsibility of application development with other members of the team. Our app is developed using the Flutter framework for the user interface in Dart and the JUCE framework in C++ for audio functionality. The app will be released on iOS, Android and desktop platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work in a team with other developers using common software development practices.
• Work closely with designers, marketers, and musicians to develop a delightful software experience.
• Handle release management on both App Store and Play Store

Requirements

• An undergraduate (or higher) degree in Computer Science.
• Five years experience as a native or cross-platform application developer.
• Exceptional written and verbal English skills.
• Rights and availability to work from our office in Malmö, Sweden.

• Excellent creativity, communication, presentation, troubleshooting, time management, and analytical skills are required.
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
• Great documentation skills
