Job Description

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for designing automated tests to validate custom software system products and services. You will apply your experience and knowledge in reviewing requirements, creating test plans, detailed test cases, test reports, and producing quality assurance metrics. Other responsibilities include working closely with software and systems engineers in debugging and defining corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

• Create automation test framework using open source tools like Selenium

• Create automation scripts using Selenium Web Driver, Jenkins and Maven and perform regression testing

• Migrate test scripts created using Selenium framework to Cucumber framework

• Prepare test plan and test case documents and write test procedures

• Design, develop, test, maintain and executes reusable test automation scripts across different test environments for consistency. Ability to execute test cases manually (if needed) based on business requirements.

• Coordinate regression test automation activities across all supported applications

• Work with requirements team to define test cases and maintain traceability

• Report defects and escalate issues as needed

• Work closely with software development team to reproduce and debug issues.

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability through self-directed task management

• Motivated team player, with very strong analytical, diagnostic and debugging skills

• Estimate tasks and present plans to project leadership

• Good oral communication and writing skills.

Requirements and Experience Guidelines:

• 3+ years of software development testing experience

• 3+ years of Agile testing experience

• 3+ years of strong experience with Selenium-WebDriver automation tool testing web-based application.

• 3+ years of experience with automation framework (e.g. Cucumber, TestNG or JUnit).

• 3+ years of experience with working knowledge of Java is required.

• Hands-on experience within Build Management tools (e.g. Maven, Gradle, Ant).

• Knowledge in CI/CD environment (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo) is a plus.

• Hands-on experience developing automation test script using Gherkin and Java

• Able to develop alternative solutions that demonstrate innovative and analytical approaches to resolutions.

• Experience with manual testing (Integration, Smoke testing, Functional, Regression, etc.)

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working in agile / iterative SDLC environments

• Ability to excel in team-oriented environment.

• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

• Adheres to development standards, software development lifecycle processes

• Must be a self-starter that identifies performance gaps and addresses them

• Must be experienced with optimizing test functions

• Must be an effective writer with experience writing test plans and test cases.

• Must be able to identify gaps or conflicts in the requirements and user stories

• Detail oriented and “can-do” abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree required from College or University

Required Technical Skills:

• Selenium Web Driver

• Cucumber Framework

• Java Programming knowledge basic to intermediate

• Element locators ID, XPATH, CSS etc.

• API Testing

• Cross Browser Testing

• Testing experience in various OS and Mobile Devices

• SQL

• JIRA, Confluence
