We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

The Team
At our Agile Release Train (ART) Autonomous Mobility Platform (AMP), within the department of Core System Software, we develop the core system platform software for autonomous driving. We collaborate closely with stakeholders within Volvo Cars and leading industry partners to create a safe, scalable, and robust platform enabling the services for the Intelligent car.

We are now looking for a person with servant leadership qualifications and system engineering competence for our ART AMP systematization and design team.

What you´ll do?
You will be one of the team players in a cross-functional team where you will contribute with your system engineering competence. You will also work part-time as a scrum master. As a scrum master, you will contribute as a servant leader and coach the team practices with focus on flow. You will also take lead on continuous improvements both in the team and across the ART.

In your daily work you will seek interaction with other system engineers and architects to define our system design. The resulting product is a central fault-tolerant vehicle computer that provides intelligent on-board services in extensions to the Vehicle Compute Unit (VCU) and multiple gateway nodes (VIU) for sensors/actuators. Altogether, the computer enables function developers to develop and run applications in the vehicle in a distributed framework. To summarize we at ART AMP focus on the integration and verification of the platform, where our stakeholders develop the onboard applications.

As a part time Scrum Master, you will manage and optimize the flow of value through product development. This includes establishing and improving planning and delivery iterations, understand and coordinate cross-team dependencies, and foster collaboration. You will also help to manage and reduce risks and dependencies as well as removing, escalating, and tracking impediments.

Do you fit the profile?
You are a self-driven and proactive team player with high ambitions. You are curious, always eager to learn, and have an innovative mindset. You care about people and you like to take responsibility for getting things done.

You have experience in architecture and systemization within SW development. Ideally, you have experience of system safety according to ISO26262, system requirement creation, and refinement (e.g. in System Weaver). It is meritorious if you have experience in software development within automotive (e.g. C++).

As a leader, we believe you have the ability to create an environment that fosters high-performing teams. You are used to working will multiple stakeholders and have the capability to facilitate workshops and perform activity & story mapping exercises. You embrace agile and a continuous improvement mindset.

You probably have a M.Sc. degree or comparable experience. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Location: Gothenburg
