Our vision and strategy are to maximize the attractiveness of owning and using a Volvo, make all cars connected and provide a continuously enhanced experience for both new and existing cars. The ART Connectivity Platform within the Department Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform is responsible for delivering Global Connectivity as a service – E2E including HW, SW and Mobile Network Services. The platform we provide is the prerequisite for all connected applications and services within the vehicle.
We are a tight agile team, working with test environments for new platforms and programs. We design rigs and are working with software and electronic domain integration striving to maximize the test-value. Our rigs will continuously integrate (CI) and provide feedback of the electrical system to enable high quality and robustness. We improve quality by enabling automated integration and visualize status of the system-under-test.
We are now looking for people to strengthen our team within the field of test environment development with the task to write, run and analyze automated tests for a new developed Platform within Software & Electronic Platform organization.
What you´ll do
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in the entire process from design of test infrastructure to analyze test results when the rigs are up and running in the CI (Continuously Integration) environment. Our HIL rigs starts when the first ECU delivers to the project. In early phases, there are only a few ECUs and less functionality but as the project matures, our HILs grow. For our HILs to be suitable for testing, we develop tool chains for test automation and analyses results. We develop test cases to verify the SW nonfunctional requirements in Python or CAPL. We work on continuous improvements regarding test automation and fault tracing of HW and SW. Together with your colleagues, you will especially work with further development of our test activities to enable test automation and Continuous Integration (CI). As a software test developer of our HIL rigs, you will gain a broad understanding of Volvo Cars vehicle systems and electrical functions.
