Application Developer - JavaScript focus

Perido is recruiting a Application Developer to our client, an international company and leading provider of financial services and products. You will join our client's Stockholm office where you will collaborate with experienced developers, testers, and product-/project managers to develop new front end components for both internal products and external clients. You will also collaborate closely with developers in other offices in Europe, US and Asia, and some travel is required.

Your role

This is a new initiative and you will play fundamental part in shaping our client's component strategy. In addition to the talks outlined above, you will also be expected to take on the following responsibilities:

-Participate in the development of reusable and configurable JavaScript components with a small team of developers with different skill sets
-Work with architects and other project leads to define non-functional requirements, architectural direction, ensure high quality of the code and avoid technical debt
-Build software enhancements, troubleshoot problems, and correct software defects
-Analyse and remediate production issues and build instrumentation and operational readiness into the system architecture

Requirements:

-Prior programming experience (not necessarily through work)
-Expert knowledge of JavaScript as a first class language
-Experience with application scaffolding tools, automation & development tools, and dependency management (e.g. Yeoman, Bower, npm, grunt)
-Experience of Test Driven Development
-Display expertise with domain modelling, object oriented concepts, and design patterns
-Fluent English

Also valuable:
-A bachelor´s degree in computer science or an engineering field
-Experience with node.js, angular.js, karma.js (or other js testing frameworks) is a plus
-Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) and exposure to tools like Jenkins will be an advantage
-Experience with source code management techniques using Git will be an advantage
