Salesforce Administrator / Junior Software Engineer

Since Volvo CE, during the last few years have started using Salesforce for building customer facing B2B (Business-to-Business) storefronts and websites, the need of competence within this platform is growing in our company.

Therefore, we are looking for a Salesforce Administrator / Junior Software Engineer to strengthen our team.

Role and responsibilities

As a Salesforce Administrator you will work in a team of specialists administrating and configuring different applications on Salesforce cloud platform. You will be collaborating with different product teams working in close collaboration with developers and business analysts using agile ways of working.

As part of the administration of Salesforce applications, you will be a key player in the user training strategy. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and get support from the team to put them in practice.

Apart from administration of the Salesforce core platform, other cloud solutions are also used; for example, to integrate/transfer data, to perform deployments between Salesforce environments, to handle the product backlogs and to backup Salesforce data.

Some of the services and software used are:

Heroku (Platform as a Service), Copado (DevOps software), Azure DevOps (Product Backlog management), OwnBackup (Data Backup software)

We have a need to build long term competence within our team to support the different applications running on the Salesforce platform, and to administer the surrounding services. The team is also maintaining and developing integrations using Java and the Spring Framework.

As a team we are together responsible for providing a modern, efficient, and secured environment supporting the business solutions, increasing customers and dealers experience & satisfaction.

Your profile

Just like us you have a mindset where everything is possible, and we learn by asking. Enthusiastic as a person and loves a changing environment.

We believe you have knowledge about IT best practices and Agile concepts. It will be very appreciated if you have Salesforce experience, but it is not mandatory. Most importantly you are dynamic, and you are eager to learn and help your teammates in delivering value through our applications.

You probably have some of the following characteristics and skills:

• A great interest in exploring new technologies and about learning cloud platforms
• Enjoys collaborating with a high performing team
• Experience within object-oriented programming i.e., Java, .NET, Apex or equivalent
• Previous experience with Salesforce, which is beneficial
• Proficient understanding of SQL and writing SQL queries
• Have knowledge of agile cultures and methodologies
• Enjoys open and transparent communication
• Excellent communication & presentation skills

Education Required:

• Preferably one of the following, or equivalent:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
• Master's in computer science or related or equivalent experience preferred.
