The team has many function development opportunities which can be developed through advanced engineering and research projects. In our daily work, we are working agile (according to SAFe) with 12 weeks of program increments.

The team is part of the agile release train (ART) - Body Control & Road Contact.The tyre monitoring team focus on tyre monitoring technologies such as TPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring system) and other Advanced Engineering related functions. The team members work in close collaboration with other teams and suppliers to make sure that the tyre monitoring technologies are implemented according to Volvo Cars requirements.

What you’ll do
You will work with tyre monitoring technologies and you will have the opportunity to contribute in the design, software development, implementation, test activities regarding new functionalities in close cooperation with other team members. You are able to provide new ideas to continuously improve the product and product portfolio.

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for someone who has extensive experience, minimum 3+ years of experience within relevant field. You use your skills and your passion as Function Developer to expand your technical insights and to build and maintain a network that includes people in the company.  It is a requirement that you have a M.Sc or B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, System Controls & Mechatronics or equivalent knowledge through years of practice within embedded Linux/ubuntu and QNX development. Knowledge of high-level algorithm design and prototyping in simulation environments (Matlab/Simulink) to product-oriented implementation with C/C++ is also a requirement. 

You have experience in Dev-ops, Continues integration, Jenkins, Docker, Git, Gitlab or similar technologies and integration of embedded SW and scripting for automated integration testing. You also need experience in development and implementation of signal processing algorithms of mechatronic systems, likewise test automation experience. Knowledge in vehicle diagnostics and tools (CANoe, DSA) together with experience working with other partners to take complex algorithms from proof of concept all the way to fully formed product describes your profile. 

To fit in this position, you have to possess excellent communication and documentation skills in English as well as hold a Swedish driver license (B). 

Meritorious qualifications 
•    Experience of agile development and familiar with software development best practices 
•    Experience of Sensor fusion development/Data analysis tools/Cloud Computation

On a personal level you have to be curious & innovative. You are self-driven, have a positive attitude and are a team player. Be committed to high delivery quality as well as have a good organizational and interpersonal skills are important for this position.
