The Volvo Cars CAR UX Team within Volvo Cars' newly-formed UX organization at the Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden is expanding and looking for a new Visual UX Designer to work on defining features, products and systems within the digital systems of the car. Your responsibility will be to deliver design artifacts, such as production ready designs, assets, animations and prototypes that balance design aesthetics with intuitive functionality. 
You will collaborate with other designers and ensure a seamless customer experience across Volvo’s digital landscape. And as part of a product team, you will communicate designs, ideas, and rationale with your team using data and customer insights. As designer you advocate for the user, you will develop a deep understanding of our customer needs and pain-points, serving as an expert for your product team and develop ideas for new and enhanced features.

Who are you? 
 We believe that you are: 

* A designer with10+ years for a consumer-focused tech company, so you understand what it takes to create elegant, consumer-oriented experiences.
* Versatile - you use a full range of skills— visual design, prototyping, motion design and interaction design — to ensure you deliver magical experiences to the customer.
* Excellent in designing with tools such as Figma or Adobe XD and Adobe Photoshop.
* Skilled in prototyping and/or motion design using tools like Flinto, After Effects or similar.
* Able to build and maintain design libraries or systems.
* Collaborative and able to work with not only design partners, but many other stakeholders from marketing to engineering.
* Communicative - you use your communication and presentation skills to facilitate generation of ideas. 
* People-focused in your design mentality.
* Constantly looking to hone your design instinct through user feedback, whether that’s hands-on user research or a quantitative A/B test.
Able to provide a portfolio of projects (or samples of preview work) to which you have made a substantial contribution and/or make a portfolio presentation as part of the selection process.
