In brief

We believe that our future success will be based on our ability to leverage the large amounts of data generated on our platform every day. We need the ability to gain fast insights from usage of our services to enable short cycles of product refinement and be able to create services based on all of our data.

During 2020 we began migrating our backend services to GCP with the ambition of being one of the few banks with cloud-based services in a highly regulated industry. During 2021 we have started to rewrite our Analytics Platform from the bottom up on Google Cloud Platform.

This is part of the role

Analytics Platform is a newly formed team of data engineers, data analysts and BI-developers. We are a part of an expanding Tech organization and you will work closely to your team members, other development teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Our vision is that all major decisions should be based upon objective data and analysis, and we will support this by creating a modern analytics platform where data is easily accessible, all parts of Nordnet have access to relevant dashboards, we use data to build products and services and also by supporting the organization with advanced analytics and modelling.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Analyze a wide range of problems and present insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the whole organization
• Participate in designing and implementing SQL-pipelines in BigQuery
• Build dashboards that help stakeholders to make data driven decisions
• Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the whole organization and be an ambassador for our team and a data driven way of working

You are passionate about the opportunities that data and analytics brings, and you want to contribute with your experience and expertise. In your work, you are organized, methodical and professional in a way that benefits the team’s working climate and ability to deliver high quality solutions.

We believe that most of the following characteristics describes you

• Professional work experience from data analytics and data visualization
• Experience from working in GCP using services such as BigQuery and AI Notebook
• Are a problem solver – if you need an answer you will find it
• Hold a BA degree or equivalent in engineering, computational or technical subject
• Have a genuine interest in the finance domain and the fintech industry
