What We Do: We are looking for a skilled software engineer to help us develop the next generation video streaming experience for web, Chromecast, LG (WebOS) & Samsung TV (Tizen). The pace is high and you are expected to learn fast and deliver clean, well-written and readable code. You are expected to have excellent communication skills combined with the ability and willingness to cooperate within the team but also with other teams, product owners and stakeholders.

Role Overview:

• Part of a web technology team with 5-8 people
• Makes significant and notable contributions to the assigned technical area.
• Actively drives technical topics that affect all assigned products and suggests and/or implements solutions that apply across functional areas.
• Shows high degree of initiative within his/her technical area, and can be assigned to or involved in critical or urgent work assignments.
• Plans and completes assignments, resolving most challenges independently.

Work experience wish list:

Experience & Personality:

• 4 - 8 years experience in a relevant Engineering position
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foundation
• Is a leader and change ambassador, you are able, enthusiastic and take the initiative
• You have a holistic view on problems/solutions and understand the importance of deploying software with high quality and confidence (well known risks) to reduce and limit the risk for unsatisfactory customer user experience

Engineering:

• Excellent Javascript programming skills, experience with React is a big plus
• Client/server architectures using HTTP, REST, GraphQL and JSON.
• Experience with Tizen & WebOS (SmartTV)
• Experience with SaaS & Video streaming software development
• Experience with GitHub & Gitflow
• Don't mind developing and deliver vertical sliced features
• Experience and strong interest in building a DevOps Culture (working towards Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, low-risk releases, continuous feedback loops and building a learning culture to name a few areas)
