Our creative ateliers in Paris, Stockholm and Los Angeles design diversified fashion collections with great attention to detail and quality. For us there’s no right or wrong when it comes to style, just possibilities and the joy of self-expression.

We currently have 73 stores on 22 markets and offer online selling on 32 markets through Stroies.com and external partners. And we are growing!

Job Description

We are looking for

One experienced Senior and one Junior Shoe Designer for our shoe department in the Stockholm Atelier. We believe you have strong shoe design work experience teamed with a high fashion sense. We look for candidates with a strong feel and intuition for the current and upcoming global fashion footwear trends, always balanced with a commercial eye.

As a Senior Shoe Designer at & Other Stories you are responsible for:

• Visionary: Responsible for the design of products for all channels – ensuring the right current fashion is planned and designed at the right time
• Customer and vision: Maintaining the right customer focus, be involved in the research to identify next season’s goals and what actions to take. Ensure keeping with the decided vision and goal for the section. Analyse which products the customer will want the next season.
• Assortment planning: Responsible for securing the best product in all sales channels. Seek out new fashion, best products according to the overall goals of the department.
• Design and development: Ensure the sketches are created, updated and approval process is developing according to plan. Continuously review the products and assortment and take action needed to secure commercial relevance.
• Communication and sales: Constantly monitor the selling, and take action if/when needed. Monitor and evaluate tendencies affecting the selling.

As a Junior Shoe Designer at & Other Stories you are responsible for:

Assisting the Senior Designer in all tasks to ensure the goals for the department are reached. Be involved in staying on track with the vision, constantly look out for the new and current fashion. Assist with planning, development and creating of the assortment. You will update flat sketches, help with fittings, follow up of samples and its communication. Update overviews, color charts and presentation material. You stay on top of sales and take action needed to secure our assortment is up to date for commercial success.

Qualifications

We would love to meet someone who:

• Has a min of 1-2years(junior role)/3-5years (senior role) work experience of shoe design
• Has a relevant shoe/product design background and/or education, used to work with leather, understand shoemaking and communicating with the shoe technologists, suppliers and shoe product developers
• Has a strong passion for shoes, fashion & Other Stories customer
• Is creative, visionary and always up to date with current and future trends and fashion
• Is highly skilled in Photoshop, In Design and Illustrator
• 3D software (Rhino, CLO) is meriting
• Is methodical, precise and organized in your work
• Has a positive problem-solving attitude and is eager to find new ways of working
• Is a driven team player who can also work independently
• Is a strong leader (senior role) with high communication skills and ability to add to the open atmosphere that allows the team to thrive
• Has strong leader skills (senior role) and leader potential (junior role)
• Excellent English skills (written and spoken, Swedish not necessary)

Additional Information

The senior role is a temporary full time 12-months position.

The junior role is a permanent full time role.
