About us
As a Data Scientist at Traction Batteries, you will be responsible to perform data analyses for traction batteries based on measurement data from test / field /customer vehicles and develop early warning system for unexpected battery degradation in customer vehicles. We use the results to design HW and SW components of the battery in the increasing number of electric and hybrid vehicle projects.

What you will do
Your responsibilities as Data Scientist will include analyses and development of prediction methods for usage of batteries in close cooperation with other engineers within VCC.

You will develop mathematical models for prediction of HV traction battery behaviour. Together with component owners and System architects define ART requirements / need for field data collection.  Perform data analyses for traction batteries based on measurement data from test, field, and customer vehicles.  Develop early warning systems for unexpected battery degradation in customer vehicles.  In general, drive increased usage of data driven development within the ART

You and your skills
You are a team player with strong communications skills. Broad vehicle interest and knowledge, especially in vehicle electrification You have strong analytic abilities since the job requires ingenuity and creativity. You enjoy the conceptual thinking and take vital actions when required. Your technical competence and your interaction with different teams created a great atmosphere for innovative solutions.

* Master degree in Engineering, preferably within Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar.
* 3-5 years of relevant experience  
* Documented skills with Python and scientific packages like NumPy, Pandas etc.
* Experience in building data pipelines, data transformation and data visualization.

Meritorious
* Previous experience from work with AI/Machine learning and Databases (SQL)
* Hands on experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark, Dask and similar. 
* Experience from modern cloud architectures, preferable Azure
* Knowledge in BI tools like Power BI or similar.
