In our team, we focus on the in-house development of control units and its functionality which will be introduced in future products, currently in the development phase. Main area of responsibility:
You will be a part of the Embedded Control System group within the Electrical & Software Architecture Department, and you will play the key role in keeping it all together when it comes to SW

- Keep up to date, and ensure we align with, standards
- Taking decisions on tools to use
- Ensuring roadmaps are created to secure competences in time
- Leading a SW Community of Practice
- Overall understanding of how the SW implemented effects other parts
- Actively supporting in the CI/CD implementation and evolution
And this is you
You need to be a skilled team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills and to be genuinely interested in product development and to share your knowledge.
B.Sc. or higher education within software engineering or similar is highly valuable as well as previous experience from SW-development (C and Python language) in the automotive industry or other agile driven industries. A solid network within Volvo Group and knowledge of our system and processes (SEWS2, SystemWeaver, KOLA, Autosar, Engineering Tool, SW Configurator etc) is an advantage.
Since you have good engineering judgment and priorities, you have the ability and interest to technically support, lead and challenge colleagues in their work and their mindset. You like to share your passion for technical solutions and you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a person you are positive, you display driving force and have a structured way of working.
