Job description
As QA Engineer in the Compression team, your main focus will be to ensure the quality of Opera Software’s services, as well as increasing efficiency and automating the quality process. You will participate in all phases of projects, from research and development of new systems and services to improving and maintaining existing services.

In Linkoping, you will be one of 3 QA Engineers, all working closely together with the developers in the development teams. You will have your own areas of responsibilities, as well as collaborating with other QA Engineers.

Your responsibilities
- Take initiative and ensure delivery of high quality products
- Plan, prepare and execute tests for new functionalities
- Design and implement automated tests and test systems
- Adapt to and learn new technologies
- Prioritize what is relevant and important

Din profil

Your profile
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within a relevant technical field. We are looking for both junior and senior candidates, perhaps you have a few years of work experience or are looking for your first job. The absolute must is high technical skills and a great degree of technical interest. You have the ability to automate work using scripting languages and are experienced working on Linux.

To be a part of the Compression team, you need to be self-motivated, structured and quality-driven. You enjoy an environment where you take initiative and responsibility in a way that benefits both yourself and your colleagues.

Fluency in English, written and spoken, is a must.

Though not a requirement, knowledge about web technologies, networks and networking protocols, experience with version control systems and with large scale server environments will be considered an advantage.
